Unfortunaltey we cannot offer any home user packages at the moment but we are looking into this. The difference between home & business packages is primarily the contention ratio. This is the total number of people in your area who share a single broadband connection at the exchange. The standard broadband contention ratio for home users is 50:1, this means up to 50 other homes or businesses in your area could be using the same 2-8mb connection as you meaning it only takes your neighbour to be downloading a DVD for your service to get a noticable speed issue.
The cheapest broadband we supply is at an amazingly low 14:1 contention ratio, going down to a 1:1 contention ratio for our morst expensive package. This is better than most other supplier & compared to some reports, companies such as Tiscali have been known to give contention rations of over 150:1 in the past
Business Broadband Light
This entry level business broadband package is designed for the small business. It is ideal for those businesses that are light users but have a need to access the internet for email and web use and also require a good level of service at a low cost. The usage cap will cover your normal light usage but if you have the need to go over this occasionally you will just be charged for that extra amount on an as used basis.
